Job Description

This global company is a leading provider of innovative rubber and plastic solutions designed to seal, damper, and protect components across various industries, with a specialization in aerospace applications. Their Tukwila, Washington facility is a key site for the design, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality rubber aerospace parts. With a commitment to excellence, the company operates on the forefront of industrial innovation, ensuring that each product meets stringent standards for durability and performance. The company places a strong emphasis on stability, career growth, and employee development, making it an ideal workplace for professionals seeking long-term opportunities in the aerospace sector.

The role of Aerospace Quality Inspector is a critical position within this facility, entrusted with maintaining the highest quality standards in the inspection and approval of aerospace parts. This is a temporary-to-hire position offering a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with competitive hourly pay ranging from $24 to $27. This opportunity not only allows for professional growth in aerospace quality assurance but also provides long-term benefits such as 401(k) with company match and tuition reimbursement upon permanent hire.

In this role, the Aerospace Quality Inspector is responsible for performing daily in-process, receiving, and First Article inspections, ensuring compliance with aerospace specifications and standards. Inspectors utilize an array of precision measurement instruments including calipers, gauges, microscopes, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and optical comparators. The ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is essential to verify part specifications accurately. Additionally, inspectors complete required documentation compliant with AS9100 standards, such as Manufacturer Control Reports and corrective action records, to maintain traceability and product integrity.

Non-conforming parts are carefully segregated, and rejection reports or tags are processed to ensure that only components meeting quality requirements proceed to the next stages of production or shipping. This role is crucial in upholding safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction within the aerospace supply chain. Engineers, production teams, and quality professionals collaborate closely to implement corrective measures and continuous improvement strategies. Given the technical demands and regulatory environment in aerospace manufacturing, the position requires a detail-oriented and methodical approach combined with strong communication skills.

Working at this established company offers a harmonious balance between challenging work and a supportive culture. Employees benefit from free onsite parking and convenient bus access options. Temporary staff receive a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, term life insurance with AD&D, identity theft protection, prescription plans, and retirement savings plans. Upon permanent hire, the benefits expand to include paid holidays, enhanced insurance coverages, and tuition reimbursement which supports ongoing professional development.

For aerospace professionals passionate about quality control and inspection, this role delivers a unique chance to work with a well-respected worldwide company that values employee growth and provides a stable work environment in Tukwila, Washington. Applicants with at least two years of aerospace quality inspection experience and proficiency in GD&T are highly encouraged to apply and advance their careers in a thriving sector of aerospace manufacturing.
