The role of Activities Supervisor at Camp Margaritaville Resort is a dynamic and rewarding position that plays a critical part in the guest experience. This supervisory role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing a wide variety of activities and events tailored to appeal to guests of all ages and interests. The Activities Supervisor is responsible not only for direct leadership of the Activities Department team members but also for fostering a collaborative and engaging team culture. Job Requirements

  • coordinate team member selection and development
  • ensure team members comply with policies and procedures
  • plan coordinate attend and supervise activities
  • maintain balance sheet for each activity
  • review approve and submit invoices
  • reconcile cash register and follow cash handling policies
  • prepare bank deposits
  • market events
  • produce calendar of events
  • prepare budgets
  • set up and clean up after events
  • prepare food for small events collaborate with caterer for larger events
  • maintain office and activity supply inventories
  • prepare weekly newsletter
  • organize fundraising activities
  • ensure equipment and supplies are in good condition
  • answer telephone and handle routine activity questions
  • maintain petty cash fund
  • prepare end-of-month reports

Job Qualifications

  • basic computer proficiency including email and internet use
  • flexibility to work events during non-business hours
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to negotiate prices and contracts on behalf of the resort
