The role available is for an Activities Coordinator / Driver within one of Provincial Senior Living's communities. This position integrates two key responsibilities designed to enhance resident experiences and support daily operations. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and facilitating a variety of engaging programs that promote the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of residents. These include daily activities, special events, and holiday celebrations. You will coordinate events from planning through execution and assist in maintaining activity spaces, supplies, and inventory. Working collaboratively with other departments, you will help support programming needs, including memory care and mixed-group activities. The position also involves actively engaging residents to encourage participation and fostering volunteer involvement.

Complementing the programming duties, the Driver component of the role involves providing safe and timely transportation for residents to activities and appointments both within and outside the community. You'll assist residents in entering and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety especially when mobility support or wheelchairs are involved. This includes maintaining vehicles through cleaning, fueling, and basic inspections, and documenting vehicle condition to support regulatory compliance. It is a hands-on, resident-facing position ideal for someone who thrives in interactive, varied daily tasks that make a difference in seniors' lives. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, as well as a passion for serving seniors and promoting vibrant community life. Employment qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (with an Associate's degree preferred), 1-3 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Depending on community needs, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may also be required.
