Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village, located on the Westside of Bend, Oregon, is Central Oregon's premier full-service retirement community. We are currently seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator to join our Life Enrichment department. This role is perfect for a creative individual with a passion for working with older adults and a talent for organizing engaging social events. As the Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing a varied activities program that addresses the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our residents. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help foster a vibrant community atmosphere, enhancing the quality of life for residents and offering meaningful opportunities for engagement and connection.
This position operates on a casual status with no fixed schedule, allowing you to pick up shifts and fill in as needed. Starting compensation is $19.89 per hour or higher, based on experience. Working variable hours means that you will have a flexible work environment while helping create and facilitate programs such as holiday celebrations, community outings, birthday parties, and exercise sessions. The role demands a dependable, outgoing, and proactive personality committed to delivering compassionate care, supporting residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and working collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless event execution.
In this position, you will directly contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents. Trustworthiness, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential qualities for success. You will engage residents in enriching activities that inspire social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity, thereby promoting overall health and wellness. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- interest in working with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
- experience preferred but willing to train
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- patience and tact when interacting with residents and families
- willingness to work variable hours and casual status
