Their commitment to creating meaningful experiences is reflected in their holistic approach to senior care, where every team member plays a pivotal role in enriching the lives of residents. Sunrise Senior Living prides itself on cultivating a workplace where purpose-driven professionals can thrive, contributing to a supportive atmosphere that values respect, collaboration, and innovation.
The Activities and Volunteer Coordinator role at Sunrise Senior Living is a dynamic and rewarding position focused on enhancing the wellness and social connection of senior residents. This role is essential in planning, leading, and coordinating engaging activities and events across assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. The coordinator works closely with care teams to design programs aligned with individual resident preferences and individual service plans, ensuring that each activity supports resident engagement and emotional fulfillment. As the liaison for volunteers and community partnerships, the coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, thereby expanding the community's involvement and support for the residents.
Additional responsibilities include managing calendars, newsletters, key performance indicators (KPIs), and community outreach efforts, all of which contribute to a vibrant and well-organized activities program. The coordinator also provides training to team members and families on the family activity portal, promoting transparency and participation. This position demands strong leadership qualities, organization, and communication skills to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced senior living environment. The role may extend to overseeing duties of activities assistants, drivers, or concierge staff as applicable.
Offering a competitive pay range of $25.25 to $31.65 per hour, this full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for those passionate about senior care to make a meaningful impact. Sunrise Senior Living recognizes the importance of supporting its employees through a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans, retirement savings, employee assistance programs, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. By joining Sunrise Senior Living as an Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, individuals will not only advance their careers but also contribute to a certified Great Place to Work, where diversity, inclusion, and respect are foundational principles. This role offers a deeply fulfilling chance to create joyful moments and meaningful connections in the lives of seniors, making every day brighter and more purposeful.
