The 3rd Shift Concierge plays a critical role in maintaining the security and smooth operation of the community during overnight hours. This position requires a proactive individual who can remain alert throughout their shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Thursday through Monday, ensuring the premises are clean, orderly, and secure. The 3rd Shift Concierge carries out a variety of responsibilities including janitorial tasks, monitoring safety systems, providing emergency response, and delivering personalized service to residents, families, and guests.
The ideal candidate for this role will be dependable, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. They must demonstrate the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently, creating peace of mind for residents and staff alike. Valet services also form a part of the role, requiring a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Able to work Thursday through Monday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Must meet local alcohol service requirements and obtain food handler permits within two weeks of hire
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must be adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must be team-oriented and reliable
- Must have ability to stay alert and present during overnight shift
- Preferred knowledge of the local community
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous customer service experience
- Professional appearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach and attention to detail
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and staff
- Knowledge of the local community preferred
- Able to work Thursday through Monday from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am while staying present and alert for the entire shift
- At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Job Duties
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the community including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, operating floor scrubber, maintaining indoor pond, refreshing restrooms and bistro, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, rolling silverware, emptying waste baskets, dusting, replenishing ice, cleaning coffee and ice cream machines, caring for the salad bar, and ensuring shared spaces are tidy and stocked
- Respond calmly and quickly to emergencies, monitor resident call systems, and coordinate with emergency responders
- Support community safety by monitoring building systems including fire alarms, following emergency protocols, and guiding residents during fires or severe weather events
- Assist with administrative support by taking room-service requests, selling meal tickets, distributing menus, completing porch drops, scheduling transportation, and maintaining organized records
- Support community operations by walking the community, proactively noticing and reporting concerns, assisting with event setup, and providing responsible alcohol service during gatherings
- Create memorable first impressions by greeting residents, families, and guests, answering calls professionally, anticipating needs before they arise, and offering courteous valet services
- Welcome new residents by introducing yourself whenever you see them
