With over a century of experience, Delaware North has established itself as a global leader in delivering exceptional guest experiences while fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. A family-owned business with more than 100 years of history, Delaware North emphasizes growth, development, and career advancement for its team members. The company operates a diverse portfolio of businesses, including iconic sports arenas like the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, where it serves as the official concessions, clubs, and suites operator for the NHL's Buffalo Sabres since the team’s inception in 1970.
As a seasonal Host at Delaware North Sportservice based in the KeyBank Center, you will play a vital role in enriching the guest experience during exciting sporting and entertainment events. This position offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are alike, perfect for individuals who thrive on interaction, energy, and rapid pace. The Host will be the face of hospitality at the club entrance, responsible for welcoming guests warmly, verifying tickets or credentials, managing the host station, and ensuring the smooth flow of guests throughout the venue’s all-inclusive areas.
The compensation for this role ranges between $16.00 and $18.00 per hour, excluding potential tips, which makes it an attractive opportunity for those seeking seasonal employment in a high-energy setting. Delaware North supports the personal and professional development of its employees by providing training opportunities and comprehensive benefits. As a host, your responsibilities extend to monitoring cleanliness and stock levels of buffet and lounge areas, addressing guest inquiries, maintaining communication with management, and collaborating closely with servers, kitchen staff, and event managers to enhance the overall guest experience.
Furthermore, Delaware North prioritizes flexibility, offering schedules that include nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, providing ample opportunity for work-life balance. The role demands a high energy level, the ability to multitask efficiently, and excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest relations proactively. Physical stamina is essential, as the position requires standing and moving for extended periods. If you possess a passion for hospitality, a friendly demeanor, and a commitment to delivering memorable experiences, this seasonal host position provides an ideal platform to engage with fans and guests in a vibrant sports arena environment.
