The role of Host/Hostess at Valencia Hotel Group is a pivotal position within the restaurant team focused on enhancing the guest experience from the moment they arrive. This non-exempt position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager, ensuring smooth communication and coordination within the restaurant operations. As the face of the restaurant, the Host/Hostess is tasked with welcoming guests warmly, managing reservations, and efficiently seating guests to maintain an orderly flow of service. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic hospitality environment. By supporting both guests and staff, the Host/Hostess contributes significantly to the overall success and reputation of the hotel’s dining services. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming experience
  • manage reservations and maintain accurate records
  • seat guests efficiently to ensure smooth flow of service
  • coordinate with the restaurant team to manage guest needs and special requests
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station
  • handle guest inquiries and resolve any seating issues promptly
  • assist in supporting restaurant operations as needed
