Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Food handler certification preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
- Capability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to assist customers with bakery needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring and scaling ingredients
Job Duties
- Mixing weighing proofing baking frying decorating finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Basha's recipes
- Loading and unloading the oven while knowing proper temperatures and baking durations for all products
- Scaling cakes cupcakes sweet rolls breads cookies and other bakery items
- Assisting in ordering and receiving bakery products and supplies
- Controlling inventory managing out of stocks shrink and supplies
- Using scale printer machine ensuring weights and pricing are correct
- Monitoring and maintaining product pricing signage and placement including shelf tags
- Keeping production bench storage areas and coolers clean orderly and neat
- Wrapping boxing weighing slicing finishing and stocking bakery products with proper rotation
- Displaying goods according to bakery merchandising guidelines
- Assisting decorators with cake personalization and icing
- Performing all other related duties as assigned
