Sporting Chance Center

The Sporting Chance Center, located at 2100 W. Curtis Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705, is a premier indoor sports facility dedicated to fostering youth health and fitness in Southern Arizona.

Spanning 40,000 square feet, this air-conditioned center boasts a state-of-the-art floating wood floor. It can be configured to accommodate up to five full basketball courts or eight volleyball courts, making it versatile for various sports and fitness activities.

History and Operations

Since its opening in July 2013, the center has become the hub for youth basketball and volleyball in the region. It hosts tournaments, leagues, camps, clinics, open play, and other programs aimed at promoting youth health and fitness.

Operated by Southern Arizona Community Sports, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the facility is committed to providing safe and affordable indoor spaces for youth sports programs.

Facilities and Amenities

The center features a spacious central lobby equipped with comfortable seating and viewing areas for parents and spectators. It includes five large HD flat-screen televisions and free Wi-Fi.

Additionally, the on-site Center Café offers a range of nutritious beverages, snacks, and food items at reasonable prices, promoting healthy eating habits among visitors.

Events and Programs

In addition to basketball and volleyball, the facility hosts various events and programs, including the USA Dodgeball Premier Tour 2025, scheduled for March 8-9, 2025.

The center collaborates with local organizations to offer summer sports camps, such as the Bernal Fitness & Performance Summer Sports Camp, providing all-day active fun for boys and girls in grades K–8.

Open Play and Hours

The center offers open play hours for basketball with a nominal daily fee:

• $1.00 for individuals under 18
• $2.00 for those 18 and over

Operating hours vary depending on the time of year and whether school is in session, generally from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends.
