Position: STEAKHOUSE FOOD SERVER

About: Responsible for having strong menu knowledge, conducting proper presentation of the menu, informing guests of daily specialties and wine list, making recommendations of personal favorites, taking orders, delivering orders, and processing payments for guests. Delivers exceptional guest service and works with bus persons as needed to care for the guests.

Requirements: At least six months previous experience working in a full-service dining venue; preferably an upscale dining or steakhouse environment; experience providing high-touch guest service expected in an upscale room environment; knowledge of wines and liquor and wine service techniques; must be comfortable with self-banking; must be team-oriented; ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced, busy environment; previous experience exercising sound judgment when dealing with difficult guest situations; previous experience with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators; ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; at least 21 years of age; required work cards – Alcohol Awareness, Health; physical requirements – frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs, walking or standing up to 100% of the time, including movement on slippery and/or narrow surfaces, use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity 75% of the time, vision, hearing, speaking, and literacy (critical), specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, working inside in a noisy, smoky, and hot or cold environment.
