Position: Pre-Transplant Coordinator | Renal
About: Houston Methodist Hospital, located in the Texas Medical Center, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pre-Transplant Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the transplant referral, evaluation, waiting period, and peri-operative phases of transplantation. This position involves interacting with the interprofessional transplant team to ensure seamless care for pre-transplant patients and maintaining high standards of clinical knowledge and competence.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing; Four years nursing experience or three years’ Oncology/BMT-specific experience for area of specialty; Previous transplant acute care and/or ICU experience preferred; RN – Registered Nurse – Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days OR RN-Temp – Registered Nurse – Temporary State Licensure within 60 days AND BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA); Demonstrated skills in therapeutic communication, teamwork, clinical knowledge, patient education, and compliance with regulatory policies
