Position: Guest Services Representative (part-time)
About: Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing more than 454 acres, the Mt. Prospect Park District provides outstanding recreational programs, events, parks, facilities and services. With seven primary facilities and 27 neighborhood parks, the Park District is an integral part of a thriving multi-generational community. District open space includes two outdoor pools, biking and walking paths, a dog park and sizable space for outdoor athletic programming. The District covers over 11 square miles and serves a region of over a quarter million residents in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities. We are currently searching for a year-round, part-time Guest Services Representative primarily for the District’s RecPlex Facility. The Guest Services Representative is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the RecPlex Facility, Central Community Center and/or Lions Recreation Center, under the direct supervision of the Center Director on duty or the Facility Manager. Scope of work includes greeting and welcoming guests in person and on the phone, answering phone calls, processing registration, collection of fees and answering diverse informational questions. The part-time Guest Services Representative position will average under 18 hours per week (less than 1,000 hours per year), and the work hours will primarily be from 3pm-8pm Monday through Friday, and/or 7am-11am and/or 11am-3pm on the weekend. The Guest Service Representative must be at least 18 years old and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. Please see the attached job description for more information. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 18 years old; ability to pass a criminal background check; availability to work weekday evenings and weekend mornings
