Position: Emergency Department Patient Service Representative (Overnight, Daylight and Evening Opportunities in Allegheny County)
About: UPMC is currently hiring full-time and part-time Patient Services Representatives to work patient registration at the front desk and bedside in the Emergency Department. Various opportunities are available at UPMC hospitals across Allegheny County with different schedules.
Requirements: Completion of high school graduate or equivalent; one year of experience in a healthcare setting or six months in a UPMC Patient Access position preferred; knowledge of medical terminology, third-party healthcare coverage, and managed care regulations preferred; proficiency in personal computer-based applications and office equipment; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work productively with minimal supervision
