About: Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton, Inc., part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare, season, and cook for hospital patients, cafeteria customers, and special functions. They play a pivotal role in menu planning, ensuring economical and technically correct food preparation to meet diverse customer needs.
Requirements: High School Degree or GED preferred; 3-5 years experience in hospital, institutional, and/or restaurant hot and cold food preparation preferred; Certified Food Safety and Food Allergy training required for First Cook; effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills using the English language; maintain a variable work schedule to meet department needs; computer proficiency required, Microsoft Office applications preferred with ability to learn new software; highly developed communications and interpersonal skills; work independently and as part of a team; anticipate challenges and develop strategies to address them; demonstrate a high level of service delivery; attention to detail
