The Porter position at Zingerman's Deli Purchasing Team plays a crucial role in maintaining the deli's high standards and seamless operations. This full-time role, offering $18-$20 per hour including tips, is ideal for individuals who thrive in a busy, fun, and friendly environment and want to be part of a passionate team. The Porter acts as the heartbeat of the deli's purchasing function, responsible for receiving and quality checking all incoming products and food items that supply the deli's menu and stock its shelves. Beyond handling deliveries, the Porter is tasked with conducting inventory, tracking orders, and ensuring all purchasing and receiving documentation is accurate and up to date. This attention to detail directly supports the deli’s ability to deliver the renowned Zingerman's Experience to its customers.

New Porters receive paid training, so no prior food knowledge is necessary, just a passion for learning. The role requires a flexible schedule with weekend availability and mandates availability on the last fiscal Sunday of each month for inventory tasks.
