Many staff members express that working at Zingerman's is the best job they have ever had, creating a positive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment where people from diverse backgrounds come together, many aspiring to own their own businesses someday.

This role is specifically for the Next Door Cafe Barista position at Zingerman's Delicatessen. The position offers either full-time or part-time work with compensation starting between $16 and $18 per hour, inclusive of tips. Alongside making drinks, you will engage with guests warmly, sharing your knowledge about different brewing methods, and even taste and score coffee regularly to uphold the quality standards Zingerman's is known for. The role requires attention to detail, including handling monetary transactions, maintaining cleanliness in the dining and workspace areas, and restocking products to ensure the cafe runs smoothly. There is a strong emphasis on personal growth and skill development in this job, with ongoing opportunities to learn about the coffee roasting process, improve your palate, and contribute meaningfully to the team through active participation in meetings and events.

Punctuality, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to care for customers are critical for success. This position encourages clear feedback and structured training with transparent paths for growth and raises.
