Job Description
Zingerman's Bakehouse is a renowned wholesale bakery, retail shop, and baking school located in southeastern Michigan, dedicated to crafting and selling some of the finest artisan breads, pastries, and cakes. Known for using traditional methods and flavorful ingredients, Zingerman's Bakehouse has built a reputation for quality and authenticity in artisan baking. In addition to serving specialty food stores, cafes, and restaurants throughout southeastern Michigan, the Bakehouse also caters to customers nationwide through Zingerman's Mail Order, shipping freshly made baked goods all across the United States.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours with breaks
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- ability to perform repetitive motions including fine hand and finger manipulation
- availability to work 40 hours a week between 11 am and 9 pm including weekends and holidays
- full availability during October, November, and December
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- No prior baking experience required
- ability to work in an active, physical role
- strong attention to detail in packaging
- ability to work well in a team environment
- willingness to learn and receive training
- good manual dexterity for fine manipulation of hands and fingers
Job Duties
- Printing ingredient information and nutritional information stickers for a variety of products
- weighing and packaging croutons called Ruby's Cubes
- sending Magic Brownies through the flow wrapper efficiently
- calibrating and running the shrink wrapper to seal coffee cakes
- hand packaging cookies, brownies, and other treats
- sorting, stickering, and labeling pastries for wholesale customers
