Zingerman's Bakehouse is currently hiring a Pastry Baker to join their vibrant team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy creating handcrafted artisan pastries that are distributed and enjoyed all over the country. The company welcomes candidates with no prior baking experience, as comprehensive training is provided to help new hires develop their skills. The Pastry Baker position is a full-time, active, and physical job requiring the ability to stand, lift, and engage in repetitive motions for extended periods. The starting pay for this position is $16 per hour, with shifts typically scheduled between 6 am and 4 pm, including weekends and holidays. Full availability during the peak months of October, November, and December is mandatory, with no extra time off allowed during these months.

In this role, Pastry Bakers are responsible for a variety of essential baking tasks such as measuring ingredients, packaging and labeling products, weighing batter, preparing fruit fillings, and rolling dough for cinnamon rolls, among other duties. Employees gain hands-on experience with a variety of classic baked goods including Sour Cream Coffee Cakes, Ginger Jump Up Cookies, Magic Brownies, and apple pies. Job Requirements
