Job Description

FIFA26 is preparing to stage the historic FIFA World Cup 26™ — the first edition of the tournament to feature 48 teams, hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. As a landmark event in the world of sports, the FIFA World Cup 26™ promises to be a globally unifying spectacle that brings together fans, players, and communities across North America and beyond. This new 48-team format significantly expands the scope and scale of the tournament, aiming to redefine excellence in international soccer by creating unprecedented opportunities for participation and engagement among diverse audiences.

The organizing committee behind FIFA26 is committed to delivering an extraordinary and unforgettable tournament experience that will resonate for years to come. Central to this commitment is a dedicated team of professionals who will manage the complex operational and event logistics required to successfully host matches across multiple venues in three countries. Working within this dynamic environment offers a unique career opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-lifetime sporting event that celebrates diversity, sportsmanship, and global unity.

The Youth Program Coordinator - Match Day Only role is a fixed-term contract position based onsite in Seattle, Washington. This role is vital during match days at the tournament venues and requires an individual with the capability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure settings. Reporting to the local Venue Operations Director, the Youth Program Coordinator will be a key member of the tournament-time staff, supporting the execution of operational and logistical plans that ensure the event runs smoothly and meets FIFA’s standards for excellence and compliance.

This position demands a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can oversee multiple tasks and coordinate with various teams and stakeholders, including venue teams, contractors, and local authorities. The coordinator will act as the primary point of contact to manage day-to-day operations within assigned areas, monitor schedules, track progress, and address operational challenges in real-time. This requires strong problem-solving skills, a capacity for swift decision-making, and the ability to lead and foster teamwork.

Ideal candidates possess prior experience with international or large-scale events, strong project management abilities, and operational coordination expertise. Fluency in English is required, and additional proficiency in Spanish and/or French is considered a plus. Competency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and various planning and online collaboration tools are essential for effective performance in this role.

FIFA26 offers a competitive wage of $28 per hour for this position in Washington State, aligned with the state’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act. The actual base pay depends on education, experience, and other factors, guaranteeing fairness and market competitiveness. Additionally, employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package comprising medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, plus a 401k retirement plan.

Joining FIFA26 as a Youth Program Coordinator during the FIFA World Cup 26™ positions you at the heart of one of the most celebrated sporting events worldwide, contributing your skills to create a world-class tournament. This is your opportunity to be a game changer and be part of a groundbreaking event that will inspire fans and players across North America and beyond.
