This edition of the World Cup will be groundbreaking as it is the first time the tournament will feature 48 teams, offering a larger, more inclusive platform for nations around the world to compete in the world's most popular sport. As a premier event in international sporting calendars, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ aims to create an unparalleled atmosphere of excitement, engagement, and unity among fans, players, and stakeholders across North America and globally. The position requires one to work closely with multiple stakeholders such as venue teams, contractors, local authorities, and cross-country functional teams to ensure all activities comply with FIFA's rigorous guidelines and local rules.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attributes such as accountability, decision-making under pressure, inclusivity, initiative, innovation, leadership, and a strategic vision that aligns with the tournament's mission and long-term goals. Prior experience in international or large-scale event coordination is highly desirable, alongside excellent project management and operational coordination skills. Multilingual proficiency—particularly in English, with Spanish and/or French as an advantage—is preferable.

Candidates will need to be proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project, as well as planning and online collaborative tools to effectively handle coordination and operational tasks. FIFA26 offers a comprehensive benefits package that covers medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan, reflective of the organization's commitment to employee well-being and security.
