Job Description

Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club has been a cornerstone of the community for over 70 years, proudly serving 150 to 200 children daily. The organization offers a range of programs designed to help youth develop essential skills that support a successful transition from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. Their comprehensive programs focus on providing constructive activities that address important youth issues of today. Core programming areas include Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. The role of Coordinator for primary school members (grades K-5) is a pivotal position within the club. This part-time role, scheduled from September 8, 2025, to June 26, 2026, Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM, offers a competitive hourly wage of $17 to $18. The Coordinator will be responsible for leading and supporting youth development assistants, overseeing homework assistance, and organizing engaging recreational activities. This role also involves the implementation of established programming from the Boys & Girls Club of America, ensuring adherence to quality standards and program effectiveness.

Safety and well-being of the children remain the highest priorities for this position. Building positive relationships with both families and the youth is essential to foster trust, communication, and an inclusive atmosphere. The Coordinator will act as a role model, mentor, and guide, encouraging children to cultivate social, academic, and personal skills in a positive environment.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a solid background working with children, ideally with experience in camp settings or sports coaching. Educational experience or qualifications in Childhood Education or related fields would be an asset, along with a genuine passion for youth development.
