Job Description

Young Life is a respected and established Christian ministry organization dedicated to evangelism and discipleship among young people. Rooted in a rich history of faith-based outreach, Young Life operates with the core mission of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to teens, providing a supportive community and fostering spiritual growth. The organization emphasizes servant leadership, ensuring that every employee and volunteer commits to living out Christian principles through their work and personal lives. Through a variety of programs including clubs, camps, and mentoring initiatives, Young Life aims to build meaningful relationships and equip young people to grow in their faith and leadership abilities.

The role offered by Young Life is integral to their mission of serving youth, particularly those in military families. This position requires a passionate individual who is committed to the Christian faith and is willing to dedicate themselves both professionally and personally to ministry functions. Core expectations include developing a robust spiritual life through regular practices such as prayer, reflection, and active church involvement, as well as actively participating in and leading the spiritual community within Young Life. Leadership development is a critical component, involving recruiting and training volunteers, building effective teams, and supervising staff. Resource development duties encompass fundraising, donor engagement, and establishing meaningful relationships within the community. Direct ministry duties focus on contact work with youth, organizing clubs and camps, and implementing effective discipleship strategies.

Candidates will also take on administrative roles, ensuring stewardship of resources, maintaining records, and contributing to strategic planning for the ministry area. Training and development are ongoing components, with requirements to complete core training phases and opportunities for further ministry skills enhancement. Overall, this position offers a unique opportunity to blend professional skills with personal faith in an environment dedicated to uplifting young people and their families through Christian ministry. This is a full-time role designed for someone eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of teens, especially those connected to the military community.
