This particular role is for a Yard Server within the lively and social environment of Sawmill Market, one of Heritage Companies' dynamic food markets. The Yard Server is essential for generating an elevated and memorable guest experience by combining exceptional guest interaction with responsible alcohol service and operational support. The server's responsibilities include providing friendly and professional service, ensuring compliance with state liquor laws, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-concept environment
  • Previous hospitality, food and beverage or customer service experience preferred
  • Previous alcohol service experience preferred
  • Valid New Mexico alcohol server certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with New Mexico alcohol service regulations
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume hospitality environment
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability
  • Basic cash handling and POS system knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
  • Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend for extended periods and lift up to 30+ pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Previous alcohol service experience preferred
  • Valid New Mexico alcohol server certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, professional and engaging guest service in all interactions
  • Serve beer in accordance with all New Mexico liquor laws and Heritage alcohol service standards
  • Verify guest identification and age requirements prior to alcohol service
  • Refuse alcohol service when appropriate and escalate concerns to leadership as needed
  • Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently while processing guest transactions
  • Maintain a strong awareness of responsible alcohol service and guest safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, service stations and guest-facing areas throughout shifts
  • Restock beer, ice, cups and other operational supplies as needed
  • Assist with opening, closing and side work duties
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and team members regarding guest needs, service flow and operational concerns
  • Maintain awareness of crowd conditions and report safety concerns immediately
  • Follow all company cash handling, sanitation, safety and operational procedures
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with company grooming standards
  • Support a collaborative and team-oriented work environment
