Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on pastry experience in a professional kitchen or hotel setting preferred
- Culinary degree or related hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
- Basic computer skills inventory systems ordering scheduling etc
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand walk and be on feet for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on pastry experience in a professional kitchen or hotel setting preferred
- Culinary degree or related hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Proficient in preparing a wide range of products including mousses custards creams cakes cookies and quickbreads
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
- Demonstrated ability to work a single pastry station efficiently and independently
- Basic computer skills inventory systems ordering scheduling etc
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to train and motivate team members
- A passion for pastry arts and a genuine desire to satisfy guest needs in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand walk and be on feet for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Assist in the daily supervision and production of all pastry and baking operations including preparation baking and presentation of pastries desserts and baked goods
- Ensure all recipes preparation and presentation standards are consistently followed
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness food safety and sanitation
- Train and guide pastry team members on techniques recipes and proper kitchen procedures
- Support inventory ordering and cost control efforts under the direction of the Pastry Sous Chef
- Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of products
- Take charge of the pastry department in the absence of the Pastry Sous Chef
- Stay current with industry trends and bring creativity to the development of new dessert menus and seasonal offerings
