Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on pastry experience in a professional kitchen or hotel setting preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
  • Basic computer skills inventory systems ordering scheduling etc
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand walk and be on feet for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on pastry experience in a professional kitchen or hotel setting preferred

  • Proficient in preparing a wide range of products including mousses custards creams cakes cookies and quickbreads
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
  • Demonstrated ability to work a single pastry station efficiently and independently
  • Basic computer skills inventory systems ordering scheduling etc
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to train and motivate team members
  • A passion for pastry arts and a genuine desire to satisfy guest needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand walk and be on feet for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in the daily supervision and production of all pastry and baking operations including preparation baking and presentation of pastries desserts and baked goods
  • Ensure all recipes preparation and presentation standards are consistently followed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness food safety and sanitation
  • Train and guide pastry team members on techniques recipes and proper kitchen procedures
  • Support inventory ordering and cost control efforts under the direction of the Pastry Sous Chef
  • Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of products
  • Take charge of the pastry department in the absence of the Pastry Sous Chef
  • Stay current with industry trends and bring creativity to the development of new dessert menus and seasonal offerings
