Job Description

Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa is a distinguished upscale resort nestled on 80 acres of breathtaking Sonoran Desert landscape near Tucson, Arizona. This elegant property, originally constructed as a hacienda-style home in 1912, perfectly blends timeless historic character with modern luxury and amenities. The resort features 241 guest rooms, each offering private balconies that provide stunning desert views. Guests enjoy on-site dining options, a renowned Sonoran Spa, three inviting pools, relaxing hot tubs, and horseback-accessible nature trails. Surrounded by natural attractions such as Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park, and Tucson Mall, Westward Look caters both to leisure travelers and outdoor enthusiasts, making it an ideal location for guests seeking a combination of relaxation and adventure.

Working at Westward Look involves being part of a team that values warm and high-touch hospitality, with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences throughout a scenic and resort-style work environment. Employees have the opportunity to engage with a diverse guest base in a setting that honors the Southwest's unique culture and natural beauty while providing outstanding customer service in a historic yet modern resort.

The Host Person role at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa is an essential frontline position where you will be the VIP guide welcoming guests to their dining experiences. This role carries the responsibility of greeting and seating guests with a friendly and positive demeanor, ensuring each visitor feels valued and like a priority. As the first point of contact, you create a lasting impression that sets the tone for unforgettable dining moments. Beyond greeting, you'll collaborate closely with the serving staff to ensure guests receive attentive, friendly service throughout their meal, contributing to a seamless and enjoyable environment.

Your role also extends to assisting with payments, working alongside the cashier to guarantee that every transaction is handled smoothly and transparently, ensuring guests leave with a positive finale to their dining journey. The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills as you manage reservations, table assignments, and orders efficiently to keep the dining room running without interruption.

Westward Look values initiative and dependability, seeking team members who can meet deadlines and adapt quickly to dynamic situations. Training and skill development are encouraged, empowering hosts to continually grow and integrate new capabilities to support team success and guest satisfaction.

Employees enjoying full-time status are offered a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, access to an employee assistance program, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Additionally, the resort offers daily pay options upon inquiry with a recruiter, demonstrating a commitment to employee convenience and satisfaction.

This position suits individuals who love engaging with people, thrive in fast-paced hospitality settings, and prioritize customer happiness and operational excellence. If you enjoy a dynamic role where you can make every guest feel like royalty and be part of a celebrated resort community, the Host Person opportunity at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa offers a rewarding career path in the hospitality industry.
