Job Description
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) is a reputable public community college located in Oklahoma City, dedicated to providing quality education and comprehensive student services to a diverse student population. The position available is a part-time receptionist role at the Writing Center under the supervision of the Writing Center Supervisor. The role is designed primarily to assist visitors and students as they arrive and utilize the computer area, providing a welcoming and professional front desk experience. The receptionist will also offer clerical support services to the supervisor, facilitating smooth daily operations within the center. This position is ideal for current OCCC students who are eager to develop their customer service, organizational, and administrative skills within an academic setting. The role requires maintaining confidentiality of student and college information, ensuring a courteous approach to all interactions, and managing office equipment and applications effectively. With flexible scheduling up to 25 hours per week, the position adapts to the needs of the Writing Center and supports students Monday through Saturday. Current OCCC enrollment and eligibility such as Federal Work Study award status are essential prerequisites for this opportunity, which provides valuable experience in a dynamic educational environment.

Job Requirements
- must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for fall or spring or 3 hours for summer
- or current OCCC student with Federal Work Study Award
- knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- knowledge of customer service principles and techniques
- proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office
- knowledge of office equipment operation
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to follow established procedures and policies
- reliable regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for fall or spring semesters or 3 credit hours in summer
- current OCCC student with Federal Work Study Award is eligible
- strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- effective verbal and written communication skills
