Workplace Health & Safety Remediation Site Manager, Due Diligence and Remediation

The WHS Remediation Site Manager position is a key role within Amazon's Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Due Diligence and Remediation team. The role primarily centers on the management and oversight of contaminated sites related to Amazon's operations. As WHS Remediation Site Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to ensure that contaminated sites are managed safely and in full compliance with environmental regulations. The role involves program development, management of engineering controls, adherence to reporting and use restrictions, and providing oversight throughout the site remediation process.

The position requires interfacing with various stakeholders including internal departments, external contractors, regulatory agencies, property owners, developers, and consultants. You will oversee sub-surface construction activities, ensuring contractor compliance, and conduct inspections of containment systems such as caps and cover systems. The role also entails reviewing engineering designs, tender packages, material and site management plans, and supporting pre-construction and renovation phases. Up to 50% travel is required to sites regionally assigned, depending on construction or renovation timelines, and relocation to Eugene, Oregon, is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
