Job Description

United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE) is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to driving positive social change within the community it serves. Established with a mission to improve lives and build healthier communities, UWCE focuses its efforts on mobilizing resources, fostering community partnerships, and implementing impactful programs and initiatives. As a resource development-focused organization, UWCE relies heavily on community engagement, corporate partnerships, and charitable campaigns to fulfill its goals. The organization prides itself on its commitment to integrity, collaboration, and measurable results, making it a respected leader in charitable service in the Coastal Empire region.

The Workplace Campaign Coordinator role at UWCE is a vital position within the Resource Development department. Reporting directly to the Director of Resource Development Operations, this coordinator is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of workplace campaigns that actively engage employees and corporate partners in philanthropy. The role demands a dynamic individual who can manage multiple campaigns from planning through execution, guide volunteers and ambassadors in the workplace, and foster strong, lasting relationships with business leaders. This position plays a crucial role in driving participation and increasing revenue through strategic employee engagement and corporate gift solicitation.

The Workplace Campaign Coordinator is tasked with delivering compelling presentations to diverse workplace audiences, managing campaign timelines and materials, and ensuring accurate tracking of campaign activities using customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce. The position requires someone who is adept at analyzing data to inform strategy, skilled in communication and relationship building, and capable of managing complex projects to successful completion. The role also emphasizes a collaborative approach, as the coordinator works closely with internal teams including marketing and resource development to align communication efforts and share insights that promote volunteer and campaign success.

In addition to managing existing campaigns, the coordinator actively seeks opportunities to expand participation and increase giving levels by identifying and cultivating leadership giving prospects and new workplace accounts. Mentoring and supporting campaign volunteers and ambassadors is a key aspect of this role, ensuring they are equipped with the resources and support needed to meet campaign goals consistently. UWCE values employees who exhibit high personal integrity, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive attitude toward feedback and continuous improvement.

This role requires a professional who can work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, early mornings, and evenings when needed. Physical demands include the ability to travel occasionally for events and meetings, often transporting campaign supplies. A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle are necessary to fulfill the travel requirements of the position. UWCE fosters an inclusive, mission-driven work environment where employees are encouraged to present the organization's best image as ambassadors of United Way in the community.

Overall, the Workplace Campaign Coordinator position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the charitable impact of UWCE by leading workplace fundraising efforts that drive social change. It is an exempt, salaried role that requires dedication, proactive engagement, and a strong commitment to UWCE’s mission and values. Anyone in this role will contribute not just to campaign goals, but to broader efforts aimed at fostering a healthier, more connected community.
