The company is currently hiring Shift Leads who will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with the daily operations of the restaurant. The Shift Lead position involves directing and overseeing daily restaurant activities during the absence of the General Manager. This is a dynamic role suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, have excellent leadership skills, and are motivated to drive store success. Shift Leads at Wingstop are integral to meeting the store's goals, including managing sales growth, controlling labor and food costs, and ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service.
A Shift Lead’s key responsibilities include assisting with operational tasks such as cash management, bank deposits, credit card settlements, and inventory management. They ensure that all food preparation and service adhere strictly to Wingstop’s standard operating procedures (SOP), guaranteeing quality and consistency for every customer. Besides operational support, Shift Leads engage professionally with customers, addressing their needs to ensure satisfaction during each dining experience.
In addition to operational duties, Shift Leads handle various human resource matters in line with company policies during their shifts. They prepare and submit weekly food and supply orders, complete essential daily tasks such as chicken counts, task assignments, and workflow management to maintain seamless restaurant operations. The role demands flexibility, as Shift Leads must assist other staff members when necessary and work with urgency and efficiency in a fast-moving, high-demand environment.
Wingstop seeks candidates with a minimum of six months experience in the restaurant or retail industry. Candidates should be capable of opening and closing shifts, have some familiarity with computer and point of sale (POS) systems, and demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethics. The position also requires physical stamina to stand for up to eight hours per shift, lift or move up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks with full mobility of hands and arms.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience in restaurant or retail environment

Job Duties
- Responsible for assisting and supporting the General Manager in meeting store goals including covering for the General Manager's days off
- Assists in driving operational excellence by driving sales and controlling labor and food costs during shifts
- Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team
- Assure daily bank cash deposits and verify daily credit card batch settlement
- Maintain permanent food safety and restaurant cleanliness in accordance with company policy and Wingstop SOP
- Assure that all food is handled, prepared, and served in accordance with Wingstop's SOP
- Engage in professional conversation with customers to assure that their satisfaction is met
- Address all HR matters that occur during your shift in accordance with the company's policies
- Complete weekly inventory and prepare and submit food and supply orders
- Perform daily tasks including but not limited to chicken counts, Figure 8, position assignments, position task completions, Open workflow, Cash draw deposits, and Closing workflow
- Must be willing to assist all other positions when necessary
- Work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
