The Restaurant Supervisor II role is designed to provide crucial support to the General Manager by overseeing daily restaurant operations and directing the team in the absence of the General Manager. This position requires a strong leadership presence, with the ability to enforce company and government policies, and ensure that all employees are well-informed of any policy updates. The Restaurant Supervisor II is responsible for maintaining and maximizing the restaurant's culture and overall guest experience during their shift. This role entails a hands-on approach, with responsibilities ranging from assisting in various positions as needed to managing customer service performance metrics.

Candidates for this position will be evaluated based on their ability to uphold operational excellence through consistent achievement of key performance indicators such as low dissatisfaction rates, high accuracy, and maintaining a 5-star Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) rating. The supervisor will need to address customer feedback promptly and efficiently, ensuring that all customer cases from the SMG system are handled within 24 hours. Additionally, the role demands active participation in staff training and development to ensure team members meet company standards in conduct, appearance, and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work varying shifts and be mindful of overtime protocols, seeking approval before incurring additional hours. They will contribute to the operational success by overseeing cash handling, inventory control, food cost management, and product ordering processes. The supervisor will also be entrusted with maintaining safety standards, including food safety, personal safety, and cleanliness, making sure all safety logs and temperature checks are accurately completed.

This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to solve problems efficiently. The Restaurant Supervisor II will conduct weekly Quality, Service, and Cleanliness self-evaluations, collaborate with management to address issues, and delegate tasks effectively through pre-shift huddles. Physical capability to lift up to 50-pound boxes is also necessary. The role typically involves working a maximum of 40 hours per week unless overtime is approved.

Job Duties

  • Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations
  • direct operations in the absence of the General Manager
  • enforce company and government policies and communicate policy changes to employees
  • maximize restaurant culture and guest experience during shifts
  • address all SMG customer cases within 24 hours
  • maintain Ops Scorecard goals including dissatisfaction, accuracy, WingYou, and QSC
  • assist with tasks including interviewing potential employees and training team members
  • manage cash handling policies and oversee paid outs, voids, and refunds
  • maintain inventory counts and manage product ordering
  • uphold food safety, personal safety, and cleanliness standards
  • conduct weekly QSC self-evaluations and follow up on issues
  • delegate work duties during pre-shift huddles
  • complete Zenput tasks and forms timely
  • lift boxes up to 50 pounds
  • expedite when working without another Supervisor
  • work varying shifts with a maximum of 40 hours per week unless approved
  • ensure compliance with team member standards and handbook policies
  • keep office supplies at par levels monthly
