Job Description

The hiring establishment is a reputable and dynamic restaurant committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest. As a key player in the food service industry, the restaurant prides itself on maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and outstanding customer service. The establishment operates under a strong culture that prioritizes a "guest-first" mentality, ensuring that all customers leave satisfied and eager to return. With a focus on operational excellence and team collaboration, this restaurant continuously strives to uphold its reputation as a preferred destination for great food served in a welcoming atmosphere.

The role of Restaurant Supervisor II is a pivotal position within the restaurant's management team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is designed for a dedicated supervisor who will support the General Manager by overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment. When the General Manager is not present, the Restaurant Supervisor II is responsible for directing all restaurant operations, making critical decisions, and maintaining a high level of service that aligns with company policies and standards.

This role requires a leader who can foster a positive team environment and maximize the restaurant culture by motivating team members and promoting engagement and retention. The Restaurant Supervisor II plays a crucial role in assuring each guest receives exceptional service by effectively managing the shift and ensuring compliance with all company and government policies, including health and safety regulations. The supervisor is expected to maintain operational goals that include managing customer dissatisfaction rates, accuracy standards, food quality, and cleanliness scores.

The position demands versatility and flexibility, requiring the supervisor to work varying shifts and perform multiple duties such as assisting the General Manager, training new team members, managing inventory, overseeing cash handling procedures, and addressing customer service issues promptly. Additionally, the supervisor is tasked with monitoring operational metrics and maintaining a strong focus on food cost control and product inventory management. Leadership responsibilities also extend to team development, including interviewing prospective employees and conducting pre-shift huddles to delegate responsibilities.

The Restaurant Supervisor II will be instrumental in ensuring the restaurant meets and maintains a 5-star quality, service, and cleanliness (QSC) rating. To accomplish this, the supervisor conducts regular self-evaluations, addresses any Corporate QSC issues immediately, and completes corrective action plans on time. The role also involves administrative tasks such as maintaining office supplies and completing essential operational forms.

Physical aspects of the job require the supervisor to be able to lift up to 50-pound boxes and maintain a professional demeanor at all times, whether interacting with guests, team members, leadership, or office personnel. The workweek is typically limited to 40 hours, with overtime only approved by the Area Coach. This position may also involve changes in restaurant location based on business needs, illustrating the flexible nature of this supervisory role.

Overall, the Restaurant Supervisor II position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence, team leadership, and delivering superior guest experiences. This role not only supports the General Manager but contributes significantly to the restaurant's continued success and reputation in the community.
