Job Description
The hiring establishment is a restaurant known for its commitment to delivering a superior dining experience in a clean, welcoming environment with top-quality food. This restaurant operates with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and operational excellence, consistently aiming to exceed customer expectations. As part of a larger organization with a structured leadership hierarchy, the restaurant relies heavily on teamwork and adherence to established policies to maintain its high standards and ensure smooth daily operations.
The role of the Restaurant Supervisor I is pivotal within the restaurant's leadership team. This position focuses on supporting the General Manager and Restaurant Supervisor II in all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations. When the General Manager and Restaurant Supervisor II are not present, the Restaurant Supervisor I steps up to direct operations, ensuring that the restaurant maintains its culture and promotes an outstanding guest experience throughout their shift. The supervisor is responsible for enforcing all company and government policies and effectively communicating any changes in policies to team members. This role requires a proactive approach to managing staff, maintaining operational standards, and solving problems quickly to keep the restaurant running efficiently.
The Restaurant Supervisor I acts as a key leadership figure who fosters a "guest-first" culture and motivates team members to achieve and surpass operational goals. Key responsibilities include achieving team and company objectives, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The supervisor will monitor performance metrics such as customer satisfaction, accuracy, and operational processes through tools like the "Ops Scorecard." Regular communication, training, and support to team members are essential components of this role to ensure compliance with company standards and enhance employee engagement and retention.
Moreover, the Restaurant Supervisor I oversees cash management, labor and food cost controls, and compliance with sanitation and safety protocols. This position demands flexibility with shift hours and requires physical capability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds. The supervisor also handles important administrative tasks such as completing reports, monitoring work orders for repairs, managing pest control efforts, and ensuring the restaurant adheres to cleanliness and safety guidelines. This role is crucial for maintaining the restaurant's operational excellence and overall guest satisfaction, serving as a bridge between the management and the frontline team.
