Job Description
The hiring establishment is a dynamic restaurant that prides itself on delivering superior service and maintaining a clean environment with the highest quality food. As a part of a company that emphasizes a 'guest-first' culture, this restaurant operates with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This restaurant is dedicated to fostering an environment where teamwork and company goals are paramount, ensuring that every guest enjoys a remarkable dining experience. The establishment follows rigorous standards to ensure that their operational goals related to customer satisfaction (dissatisfaction levels), order accuracy, and quality service are consistently met and exceeded. This is achieved through the use of specific performance metrics such as the Ops Scorecard, which monitors SMG, QSC, and WingYOU standards.
The role of the Restaurant Supervisor I is integral to the day-to-day functionality of the restaurant, serving as the backbone supporting the General Manager and Restaurant Supervisor II. This position is not only about leadership during scheduled shifts but also entails stepping up to direct operations in the absence of higher management. The Restaurant Supervisor I must cultivate and maintain a positive work culture among the team and ensure that the overall guest experience is enhanced by efficient shift management and excellent service enforcement.
This role involves a deep engagement with both staff and guests, requiring the Supervisor to enforce company and government policies robustly, communicate policy changes effectively, and maintain operational integrity at all times. The Restaurant Supervisor I is expected to be a versatile team player who can assist in various positions when necessary, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's operations.
The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining operational excellence through active monitoring and management of team performance, training new team members, and ensuring adherence to cash handling and safety protocols. Moreover, the role requires managing labor and food costs closely, ensuring compliance with uniform standards and code of conduct, and handling administrative duties such as completing Zenput tasks/forms and managing equipment repairs through service platforms like Upkeep.
Safety is a major focus in this role, with responsibilities spanning food safety, cleanliness, and overall workplace safety for both guests and employees. The position demands professionalism, problem-solving skills, and the physical ability to handle tasks such as lifting boxes up to 50 pounds. The work schedule can vary weekly, and the role demands flexibility and readiness to work up to 40 hours per week, with special approval required for overtime.
Overall, the Restaurant Supervisor I position is a critical leadership role for individuals who are passionate about the restaurant industry and eager to contribute positively to a thriving food service environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally by working closely with management teams and operational staff in a fast-paced setting that values excellence and guest satisfaction above all else.
