Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in enology, viticulture, food science, or related field preferred
- Prior experience as a winemaker or in a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of winemaking processes including fermentation, blending, and aging
- Experience in vineyard management, quality control, compliance, and wine production logistics
- Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor production staff
- Effective communication skills to build rapport with winery management
- Proficiency in inventory management, production scheduling, and operational efficiency
- Ability to balance artistic vision with scientific precision
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for wine and industry knowledge

Job Duties
- Monitoring grape ripeness and health and deciding when to harvest based on sugar and acidity levels
- Managing the crushing, pressing, fermentation, and aging processes in barrels or stainless-steel tanks
- Ordering production materials and maintaining production schedules
- Analyzing chemical components such as pH, acidity, and sulfur levels to prevent spoilage and ensure consistency
- Tasting regularly to make decisions on oak influence, maturation, and final blending
- Coordinating harvest logistics, ensuring sanitary conditions, and maintaining equipment
- Maintaining records for government and corporate requirements, managing inventory, forecasting, and supporting brand development
