The role of Supervisor at Total Wine & More is pivotal in supporting the management team to grow the company brand through exemplary store operations and customer service. As a Supervisor, you will play an instrumental role in building a sales and service culture that delivers best-in-class customer experiences. Reporting directly to the store management team, this position involves supervising sales and service staff, assisting with merchandising and front-end operations, and driving key performance metrics (KPMs) to meet business goals.

Your leadership will help foster a welcoming and knowledgeable store environment where customers feel valued and supported. You will lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service, promptly resolve customer issues, and support the training and development of team members to enhance their product knowledge and sales capabilities. A critical part of your responsibility includes ensuring the store complies with all laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and upholding a safe, compliant store atmosphere.

This role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will engage hands-on in store activities as a team member while supervising others, ensuring smooth daily operations. The position demands flexibility in working hours including evenings and weekends to meet business needs, and it requires physical stamina as you will be on your feet for extended periods, performing tasks such as lifting cases and pallets, bending, and climbing ladders.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets
  • Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs overhead and repeatedly
  • May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in supervisory capacity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in customer conflict resolution and peer coaching
  • Familiarity with POS and inventory software
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a retail setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mindset
  • Experience resolving customer issues and coaching peers
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
