In this position, the wine steward stays informed about all spirits on offer, the evening's menu, and the current wine list, including by-the-glass selections. The steward plays a vital role in collaborating with the wine director to manage the multiple pairing options offered each evening, and helps select and maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for smooth service. As a key member of the service team, the wine steward upholds a team-first mentality, supporting the seamless execution of dinner service and various other responsibilities that contribute to a flawless guest experience.
Before service begins, the wine steward works closely with the wine director to organize multiple wine cellars, handle the receiving and processing of physical inventory, and ensure all pour programs in the restaurant are maintained accurately. Job Requirements
