Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- high school education or equivalent
- experience working with wine and beer
- retail experience
- ability to handle stressful situations
- effective communication skills
- knowledge of basic math
- pass wine test once employed
- second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

- knowledge of industry trends in specialty wines and beers

Job Duties
- Promote trust and respect among associates and customers
- create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated
- answer questions regarding products sold within the department and store
- gain and maintain knowledge of wine and beer products
- offer product samples following company and legal guidelines
- inform customers of specials and recommend products
- assist with pairing wine and other food items
- collaborate with store chef for wine tastings and events
- maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or incidents
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- notify management of accidents
- report safety risks, illegal activities including robbery, theft, or fraud
