Job Description
Vinifera Wine Marketing is a distinguished woman-owned wine brokerage that proudly represents family-owned, artisanal wineries from California, Oregon, and Washington, as well as select imported wines from The Sorting Table Imports. Established with a commitment to quality and authenticity, Vinifera emphasizes working with producers who have deep roots in tradition or are pioneers shaping the future of the wine industry. The company puts a strong focus on storytelling, celebrating the rich heritage and passion behind each wine they bring to market. With a relationship-driven approach grounded in integrity, Vinifera focuses on delivering outstanding wines and exceptional hospitality to its accounts.
The company is currently expanding its sales team across multiple territories throughout California including the San Francisco/South Bay Area, San Luis Obispo/Paso/ Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County (Anaheim/Long Beach), and San Diego County. This expansion presents a unique opportunity to join a growing company with high standards and room for professional growth within the wine industry.
The available role of Wine Sales Representative is designed for dedicated professionals eager to cultivate and manage their own account base within a defined territory. Successful candidates will build strong relationships with both on-premise and off-premise buyers, facilitating tastings, appointments, and meetings, while representing a diverse portfolio of meticulously crafted wines. The role also involves active participation in winery visits, trade events, and industry tastings to further deepen connections and knowledge.
Wine Sales Representatives are expected to live within the territory of their application to effectively engage with the local wine trade community. Those possessing established buyer relationships and prior wine sales experience will find themselves particularly well-suited for this role. Vinifera’s highly organized work environment supports representatives who are looking to add another portfolio to their sales experience and seek growth opportunities in a dynamic setting.
This position is an independent contractor role under a 1099 agreement, with compensation based solely on commissions, offering an uncapped earning potential. Vinifera encourages motivated individuals with a passion for wine, the beverage industry, and customer service excellence to apply and join their team, contributing to a vibrant community of wine professionals committed to excellence and storytelling through wine.
