Job Description
Hawksmoor is a renowned restaurant group with over two decades of experience in the UK, Ireland, Chicago, and New York. Known for its commitment to exceptional culinary excellence, Hawksmoor has built a reputation for offering premium dining experiences that blend quality, sustainability, and community values. The company has been recognized as one of the top 100 companies to work for in the UK for fourteen consecutive years. Hawksmoor prides itself on fostering a welcoming, warm, and supportive work environment that reflects its core values of integrity and genuine hospitality. In addition, Hawksmoor operates with a strong focus on sustainability, as demonstrated by its status as a B Corporation, emphasizing responsible and ethical business practices. Hawksmoor’s upcoming expansion into Boston marks an exciting new chapter for the brand, aiming to bring its award-winning dining concept to a city rich in history, culture, and culinary appreciation.
The new Hawksmoor location, opening in Fall 2026 at 15 Necco Street in Fort Point, Boston, features a Platinum LEED-certified building, aligning with the company's commitment to sustainability. The venue will accommodate over 200 guests, include private dining and event spaces, a highly regarded bar program, and offer scenic views over the Fort Point Channel along with an outdoor terrace. This expansion continues Hawksmoor's legacy of excellence in food and beverage service and showcases its ability to blend outstanding dining experiences with environmental responsibility.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Wine Manager to join our team and help launch our third US restaurant. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Wine Manager will play a critical role in managing the wine program and elevating the guest experience through expert knowledge and superior service. This role involves collaborating closely with the management and service teams to maintain Hawksmoor’s high standards for hospitality and product excellence. The position is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-focused environment and who is committed to delivering memorable dining encounters while championing continuous learning and engagement within the front-of-house team.
As a Wine Manager at Hawksmoor, you will lead by example, coaching and inspiring the wine team to follow Hawksmoor’s recognized Wine Steps of Service. You will be instrumental in creating a collaborative guest service environment, ensuring every visitor receives exceptional hospitality. Your expertise in food and beverage sourcing, paired with an in-depth understanding of both the wine list and menu, will allow you to confidently guide guests and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally. You will also oversee cellar management, stock control, and operational efficiencies, ensuring all aspects of the wine program run smoothly and align with Hawksmoor’s sustainability and quality standards.
This role emphasizes inclusivity, diversity, equity, and belonging (DEIB), requiring a respectful and empathetic approach toward both guests and team members. You will support broader company initiatives, including charitable partnerships and environmental goals, reinforcing Hawksmoor’s commitment to being a responsible B Corporation. We offer generous pay and benefits, unparalleled career growth opportunities, and a workplace culture that promotes continuous development and happiness among its employees. Joining Hawksmoor means becoming part of a highly respected international brand dedicated to quality, community, and sustainability.
