The role available is that of a Wine Program and Fine Dining Manager, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Ibis Wine Society and the daily operations of Panache, the club's fine dining restaurant. This is a critical leadership position reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, tasked with managing wine programming, member engagement through wine dinners and events, and maintaining the high standards of service within the Panache restaurant. The manager will supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, oversee inventory and ordering processes, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including alcohol laws and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in fine dining operations and wine program management, including Certified Sommelier credentials and ServSafe certification. This role emphasizes both member satisfaction and operational efficiency, involving proactive problem-solving, staff development, and constant improvement in service practices aligning with the Ibis Philosophy. The manager will play a key role in coordinating with vendors, administering budgetary oversight, and upholding the club's distinguished image.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years of experience managing a fine dining restaurant
- Certified Sommelier Level 1 or higher
- ServSafe certified
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of wines, restaurant operations, and state liquor laws
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct training and staff development
- Proven leadership in staff hiring and management
- Familiarity with cost control and budgeting in food and beverage operations

Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of state liquor laws and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct effective training programs

Job Duties
- Manage Ibis Wine Society programming including wine selection and coordination of wine dinners and events
- Oversee daily operations and staff management of Panache fine dining restaurant including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Coordinate wine orders, maintain vendor relationships, and execute inventory duties
- Assist in the selection of Ibis wine menus and provide updates to the Director of Food & Beverage
- Ensure adherence to company standards including cost controls in food, beverage, supplies, utilities, and labor
- Interview, hire, train, and develop line staff employees
- Conduct routine training on wine and fine dining service and enforce sanitary and safety standards
- Handle member complaints promptly and ensure high levels of member satisfaction
- Provide management coverage for other dining outlets and banquet events as needed
- Maintain professional restaurant image and enforce staff grooming and uniform standards
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and review standard operating procedures and training manuals biannually
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies relating to safety, security, alcohol laws, and sanitation
- Manage timekeeping, payroll duties, and performance reviews for staff
- Foster a safe working environment and maintain proper security procedures
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
