Job Description

PRP Wine International is a pioneering wine company that has specialized in delivering in-home wine sampling experiences for over five decades. Founded in 1972, the company has built a strong reputation by bringing the rich flavors and stories of vineyards directly to customers' homes and offices across the USA. This family-oriented enterprise takes pride in its long-standing relationships with clients and its unwavering dedication to personalized service, setting it apart from other wine providers in the market. The name PRP represents the esteemed suppliers Pieroth, Romanet, and Piccolomini, highlighting the company’s commitment to quality and tradition.

As a company that combines a heritage of excellence with modern trends, PRP Wine International has adapted its offerings to include virtual tastings, enabling customers to enjoy wine experiences conveniently from anywhere. Beyond these tastings, the company is known for creating personalized wine gifts for businesses, supporting charity fundraisers, and actively participating in networking events which help foster community engagement nationwide. The business ethos centers around “enjoyment without risk,” ensuring competitive pricing and customer satisfaction with each carefully curated selection.

The role of Wine Consultant in the Chicagoland Area presents an exciting opportunity to be part of this historic and growing company. This hybrid position, based out of the Naperville headquarters, offers a flexible work schedule suited for full-time professionals passionate about wine and client relationships. Wine Consultants are responsible for delivering exceptional wine tasting experiences both in-home and virtually, sharing PRP’s premium global selection with private clients. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on building enduring connections, enjoy a dynamic work environment, and want to engage passionately with wine culture while driving sales.

As a Wine Consultant, you will play a direct role in promoting the sale of wine by the case through a strong focus on both new client acquisition and client retention. The job entails managing client appointments, organizing sample requests, and maintaining an up-to-date client database to facilitate event invitations and exclusive offers. To succeed, candidates will engage in weekly sales meetings, report on sales performance, network with local charities and event organizers, and keep abreast of industry trends. This blend of sales, customer service, and community involvement makes the position both challenging and rewarding.

With an uncapped commission structure, provided lead generation, car allowance, and comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental insurance, and a 401K program, this role offers a supportive environment for personal and professional growth. Regular bonuses, contests, and trips serve as additional incentives, making this career path not only financially appealing but also fulfilling for those who are driven and passionate about wine. If you have at least one to two years of B2B or B2C sales experience, a college degree or equivalent experience, and a strong desire to represent a historic brand known for quality and customer satisfaction, this is the perfect position for you. Join PRP Wine International and make an impact by delivering memorable wine experiences that celebrate tradition, innovation, and community spirit.
