The individual in this position will serve as the face of the wine and beer department, helping customers select beverages that suit their tastes and occasions, providing recommendations for pairings, and answering inquiries related to the products. A strong familiarity with various wines and beers is essential, encouraging a culture of ongoing learning and expertise development. The position also entails stock management responsibilities, including ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, verifying incoming deliveries, handling special orders, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the department. Attention to detail is critical, particularly in managing product barcodes, pricing signs, and accurate product placement.
