Job Description
The hiring establishment for this position is Biltmore, a renowned and historic hospitality company that operates a variety of food and beverage establishments including distinguished restaurants and wine bars. Biltmore is known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences, blending history, quality, and hospitality in a unique setting. The company values employees who uphold its culture, service standards, and core values, ensuring that each visitor enjoys world-class service and a memorable visit.
This opportunity is for a Reserve Wine Bar Dishwasher position with Biltmore. The role is a flexible, on-call position where scheduling is based on business needs and operational volume. Reserve employees typically work between 40 and 999 hours per year depending on demand, primarily during weekends and evenings, which are required times of availability for this role. The starting pay range for this position begins at $17 per hour, with compensation depending on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. This job offers a unique chance for individuals seeking part-time, flexible work within a notable hospitality environment.
As the Wine Bar Dishwasher, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils used in the kitchen and wine bar area. Your success in this role will be evaluated based on guest satisfaction, cleanliness, organization, product quality, consistency, and timeliness of service. This position involves the assembly and proper maintenance of all food products in compliance with ServSafe Standards, which uphold food safety and sanitation practices. This helps ensure the health and safety of both guests and staff.
The Wine Bar Dishwasher also plays a vital supportive role in the day-to-day operations of the department and assists leadership by providing general aid across various tasks as needed. Responsibilities include not only dishwashing but also stocking clean glasses, cleaning and sanitizing food and beverage areas, assisting with the receipt and storage of items, and participating in the company’s recycling program. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount, with attention to proper waste disposal, regular cleaning of floors, walls, equipment, and kitchen tools.
This role requires an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, often loud environment typical of busy restaurant kitchens. Physical demands include standing for an entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to temperature fluctuations and cleaning chemicals. Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities. A high school diploma is required, as well as basic math and food handling skills. Having or obtaining ServSafe certification is preferred to meet food sanitation standards.
If you are seeking to join a well-established, respected hospitality company like Biltmore with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality guest experience in a supportive and dynamic role, this Wine Bar Dishwasher position offers an excellent path for employment. You will become part of a motivated team that values professionalism, cleanliness, and excellence in service.
