The role of Pre-Installation Technician on the Chattanooga team is integral to the company’s mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home. This full-time, W2 position offers unlimited overtime opportunities that are not weather-dependent, a generous benefits package including insurance, paid time off, and 401k with a company match, as well as company-provided tools, equipment, and a fully paid training program. Additionally, the role comes with a company vehicle, covered gas expenses, and paid drive time, ensuring technicians are fully supported in their day-to-day duties.

As a Pre-Installation Technician, you will collaborate closely with Installation Managers, Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse and Operations teams. Your primary responsibility is to accurately measure remodeling projects and position installation teams for success. This entails driving to customer locations, reviewing work orders, confirming product details, taking precise and detailed measurements, photographing the site, and providing important installation information. Your role significantly contributes to creating a five-star remodeling experience for customers by preventing costly errors and ensuring installers have all required information.

The job requires keen attention to detail, experience in residential remodeling preferred, physical fitness to carry out tasks including climbing ladders and working outdoors, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to use smart devices with two-factor authentication. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, starting early at 6:30 AM. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in residential remodeling preferred
  • ability to carry and climb a ladder
  • willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • valid driver’s license
  • must own a smart phone or smart device compatible with company systems
  • willingness to comply with pre-employment screening including background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Drive to customer location at appointed times and introduces self/company
  • review work order with customer and confirms products to be installed
  • take accurate measurements and compare against sales measurements
  • if significantly different, discuss with customer
  • identify any important details or information that could be helpful to installers
  • snap and upload pictures in Salesforce
  • view exterior to identify any unique landscaping/terrain
  • conducts final review with customer
