This full-time, union position offers an exciting opportunity for a Wind Turbine Assembler on the 1st shift, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The salary for this role ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 hourly, with pay commensurate with experience. Additional pay includes voluntary weekend overtime with Saturday paid at time and a half and Sundays paid at double time.

The role of Wind Turbine Assembler is crucial in the assembly process of front and rear nacelles for wind turbines. The assembler will be responsible for building fabricated parts at designated floor stations, utilizing a combination of pneumatic hand tools, power tools, and mechanical aptitude to construct top-quality nacelle units. This position requires a hands-on approach to operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently. The assembler will interpret schematics, drawings, and work orders to ensure that components are assembled accurately according to design and sequence.

Key responsibilities include performing assembly tasks while adhering strictly to process instructions, work standards, and ISO 9001 quality requirements. The role involves material handling with equipment such as jib cranes, forklift trucks, and overhead cranes to lift, position, and move parts as needed. The assembler will collaborate closely with team members on the Wind Team to ensure the final product meets stringent quality and customer standards.

In addition to assembly, the role may involve preparing and painting products, procuring necessary supplies such as lumber and shipping materials, and packaging shipments. Adherence to OSHA and EPA regulations is mandatory, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. Continuous improvement is encouraged at all levels, with the assembler expected to identify day-to-day opportunities to enhance processes and product quality.

This position requires physical stamina and flexibility, including the ability to lift and move objects ranging from 20 to 50 pounds, work at heights or confined spaces, and perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists. The role demands reliable attendance on the first shift and the capacity to work effectively in small teams while communicating clearly in English.
