Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective one-on-one and small group communication skills
- Basic math ability including operations and graph interpretation
- Knowledge of internet and related software
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to outdoor weather and heat conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of internet software
- Strong customer focus and the ability to manage stress and maintain composure
Job Duties
- Greet and seat customers with a cordial and friendly attitude
- Escort customers to assigned seating areas and accommodate special needs or requests
- Notify servers of new guests in their section to ensure prompt service
- Maintain visibility at the hostess stand throughout the shift
- Distribute promotional flyers to encourage off-premise business
- Assist with coat-check duties when required
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the hostess station and entrance area
- Verify proper table setup and seating arrangements prior to opening
- Report any maintenance or housekeeping issues to management promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous demeanor at all times
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
