Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • prior experience in a leadership role preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • passion for local and sustainable cuisine
  • valid food handler certification

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar leadership role in a professional kitchen
  • culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • strong knowledge of organic and local ingredient sourcing
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • commitment to sustainability and quality
  • creativity in menu development

Job Duties

  • Contribute to the development of seasonal menu items
  • lead and inspire kitchen staff to maintain professionalism and high standards
  • manage daily kitchen operations efficiently
  • mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • ensure use of sustainable, local, and organic ingredients
  • maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • collaborate with management on growth strategies and kitchen innovations
