As part of this mission, we are currently seeking a full-time Shuttle/Sedan Driver to join our dedicated team. This role requires an individual who is attentive, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering exceptional service to our veteran passengers. The driver will operate company-provided vehicles within designated service areas, ensuring timely and comfortable transport while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The role extends beyond basic driving functions to include assisting passengers, particularly those with disabilities, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch and other team members. Comprehensive training and support are provided to help the successful candidate excel in this vital position. This opportunity offers a competitive starting wage of $17.94 per hour, supplemented by an additional benefits value of $4.93 per hour, in accordance with federal regulations. Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to store a company-designated passenger van at residence
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and assigned days
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check with MVR and drug screen
  • Provide housing for company vehicle bearing the company logo
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, pushing, climbing, kneeling, and sitting tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in passenger assistance or similar role preferred
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 75lbs and pushing 80lbs
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting
  • Familiarity with vehicle safety inspection procedures
  • Reliable and responsible with vehicle storage at home
  • Flexible availability for various shifts

Job Duties

  • Operate company vehicle safely and reliably according to traffic laws
  • Transport disabled veterans within the designated service area and schedule
  • Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues
  • Assist passengers including those using wheelchairs in boarding and alighting
  • Secure wheelchairs and scooters properly during transit
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch
  • Complete accurate reports for incidents and accidents
  • Provide passenger guidance about rules and regulations
  • Assist with loading and securing passenger luggage
