Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to physically assist and transport passengers in wheelchairs
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances
- Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 70 pounds or more and push a wheelchair with an adult in it
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good hearing and vision capabilities including color and peripheral vision
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist and transport passengers in wheelchairs
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and tablets
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances such as FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal as applicable
Job Duties
- Assist passengers with mobility challenges in navigating the airport
- Escort passengers to and from gates, baggage claim, and connecting transportation
- Handle and operate wheelchairs and other mobility aids safely
- Lift and transport passengers with the help of mobility devices
- Ensure passenger safety by applying wheel brakes properly
- Carry passengers' carry-on luggage as needed
- Complete necessary reports related to wheelchair use or incidents
